Thursday Update

The pile has gotten neater! We suspect it was the gardener and not a random hobo looking through our rubbish, but none the less the pile out the front is looking a little neater.

Lets see how long it stays that way...

We have a few more things we will add to the pile on Saturday. We are the last area to have their rubbish collected so it might be on for young and old...

Press Release

There appears to be some media interest in my blog! All the usual suspects are denying that they are impersonating Lynton Grace from the Daily Liberal, so as such I have to assume that it is either:

a. legit; or
b. someone I haven't suspected (which if it is - bravo!).

If it is indeed legit, and it is really in fact Lynton, then the blog was merely a way to vent about the people in town that insist on leaving a mess around town for 6 weeks of the year, and a bit of a piss take amongst my mates. I'm also not interested in people figuring out where I live and making a bigger mess of the street!

So thanks but no thanks.

Cheers any way!

Wednesday Update

It's all a bit quiet on the bogan front - it appears our pile is not good enough for the many people still scavenging through rubbish on the streets of Dubbo. We still have some choice stuff to discard, so there will be more photos soon...

Monday Update

Not that much activity today - the feral kids obviously opted for school today and during the week the bogans tend to fly under the cover of darkness.

Someone has had another look - the mattress has moved some more...

Apparently our old hose wasn't good enough - couldn't shove it back though...

As you can see the stereo cabinet is now gone. The people who's place it was dumped in front of stood it up and added it to their pile (maybe we have a case of the neighbours trying to make their pile look better quality), however someone must have decided it was good enough to take away and it has now found a new home.

A good news story...

Our plan is to add a few other things during the week to tempt the scabby bogans out for another look. The plan to give Kristy back her microwave might be over...

5:30pm Sunday...

Old stereo cabinet is gone. Could have put the mattress back on top of the sofa, but no. Apparently they have to escape too quickly to be neat about it...

No...there is the cabinet - 3 houses down the street...face down...

Why fucking take it if you didn't want it?

15 Minutes Later...

Little bogan punks straight into the junk.

Don't worry about the cars parked out on the streets or anything boys...

Off goes a fold-out chair (with no back - that should be handy) and an old golf bag (which the last time I saw it was full of spiders - hopefully they bit one of the little fuckers).

The Initial Pile

Here are photos of the initial pile at a bit after 4pm when we put it all out - neatly left out, anything loose put in boxes, the old video cabinet put front towards the old sofa so the doors don't swing open, the old golf bag hidden away. We have done the right thing.

And already the bogans were circling...

Overview

This is a blog which looks into the habits of bogans in Dubbo who - unashamedly - decide that rubbish that has been left out for Dubbo's annual kerbside rubbish collection is good enough for them to live with, and most importantly, how they leave the piles once they take what they want.

We took our pile out at 4pm Sunday - we expected that the pile would be out there for about a week or so. We expected that there would be a few people that would take a few things in time - probably under the cover of darkness.

How wrong we were...
